They were eager to launch a solid brand identity in time for an industry conference, and as I had been doing website maintenance for them for over a year they offered me a chance to bid on their logo design project.
We spent an intensive few weeks exploring various concepts and developing ideas. I started with pencil sketches, then moved to Adobe Illustrator for another round of ideas. In the end, the final logo blossomed from somewhere in the back of my brain after a couple dozen other ideas had been sketched out. Creative design is always a delightful and surprising process.
